PARI Open House
On April 26th in 2025, Team 1225 went to the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute. At PARI, visitors would tour the building and learn about many technologies that were used at the previous NASA building. Team 1225 was a part of the tour, and demonstrated their robot and explained its composition to many who asked about it, as well as the competition and what tasks it was designed to do. Team 1225 also demonstrated robots made out of legos and explained to many interested children and adults how they worked. There was also a Sphero demonstration that was extremely popular among children, involving driving the Sphero around and illustrating how to efficiently code it for effective results.
High School Demos
Team 1225 has demonstrated their robot to multiple high schools within the county. These demos were initiated, organized, and led by students. They helped promote the robotics team to students and teachers while teaching robotics students important leadership skills. These schools include West Hendersonville High School and Hendersonville High School.
